The early morning and evenings are best for seeing wild game.

The trail is generally well marked, however in the case you lost the markings, stay calm, spread out and look for the markings, you will find them.

Each night will be spent in a stone-walled shelter with pit latrines and access to clean water.
Nights can reach sub zero temperatures, so warm clothes are a must.

Two multi-day treks are available during the dry season, between the months of April and November.
A guided trek is organized in the western section of the park, while the unguided trek is to the southern end of the park.

These treks are very popular and usually need to be booked months in advance.
Permits need to be purchased at the NWR Reservation Office in Windhoek prior to your trek.

Equipment: 
all your camping gear will be needed if you are trekking - sleeping pad/bag, cooking stove, food, flashlight, water bottles, extra pair of clothes etc... 

Each night trekkers will sleep in a stone-walled protective shelters, however a tent is needed if you plan on camping at the bottom of the plateau the night before/after your trek.
Water is available at each shelter.
